The purpose of this book is to present all of research and the relevant facets pertaining to the Wisconsin Statehood Centennial stamp of 1948 (Scott 957) in one convenient volume. Relevant facets include the evolution of the stamp from concept to production. Emphasis is given to first day activities, with the bulk of the book devoted to cacheted first day covers (FDCs). The two appendices are: an index of issue-specific cachet makers and an expansive biography of cachet makers.
