Description
The purpose of this book is to present all of research and the relevant facets pertaining to the Wisconsin Statehood Centennial stamp of 1948 (Scott 957) in one convenient volume. Relevant facets include the evolution of the stamp from concept to production. Emphasis is given to first day activities, with the bulk of the book devoted to cacheted first day covers (FDCs). Attention is also paid to corner cards on FDCs, FD postcards, and those covers abroad. Finally, representative postal uses after the first day of issue, as well as representative event covers that use the stamp are included.
